Calgary, Alberta – October 17th, 2006 – Ivrnet Inc is pleased to announce the release of a new generation golf booking system. Targeted initially for deployment in Calgary, AB, the fully speech enabled technology uses voice recognition and a single 1-800 number to book last minute tee times for numerous golf courses in and around the Calgary region.
The new system is the first implementation of Ivrnet’s next generation of enhanced voice technologies and represents the most fundamental enhancement to Ivrnet’s golf line in several years. The system uses natural language to converse with callers, find a golf course and tee time that meets their needs, and collect and processes credit card information for payment. In addition to ease of booking and 24 hour availability, the system offers golfers up to a 40% savings on booked tee times.
The new technology can integrate with Ivrnet’s existing Tee Time Reservation System and automatically sell available tee times for existing clients. Bookings on the new system can be made North America wide through 1-877-404-2665.
“The selling of discount golf times is an increasing trend in Canada and the US, and Ivrnet’s is the first application of advanced technology in this market”, stated Bryan Herringer, who commissioned the creation of the first trial system. “We were thrilled to entice Ivrnet as a partner in this venture, as they have a long history in both technology and the golfing industry.”
“Natural language processing represents a quantum step forward in Ivrnet’s golf business. In an economy in which people are simply not available to staff pro-shops or man the phones, having clients be able to talk to your system, ask for help, and converse in a manner they understand not only keeps our customers in business, but helps them to thrive”, said David Snell, President of Ivrnet.
The system, which has been operating in beta since the end of July 2006, will be sold in Canada by Mr. Herringer through a soon to be branded third party, and operated in Ivrnet’s Central Office (CO) in Calgary Alberta. Testing and tuning of the system will continue through the end of the current golfing season to ensure that the system is perfected for the beginning of the 2007 season.
