Ivrnet expands service offering into government applications
By host @ 2:58 AM :: 1000 Views :: 1 Comments ::

Calgary, Alberta – November 2nd, 2006 – Ivrnet Inc is pleased to announce new initiatives that extend its corporate service offerings into large government and institutional offerings.  In October of 2006 Ivrnet began work for the Government of Alberta on a project that uses natural language processing for the submission of information to government departments.  A second project will begin in November that uses the same natural language processing technology for the collection of information by the Federal Government.  Both projects require a citizen to call into the system voluntarily, and neither will be used for soliciting information.  Both projects are the direct result of Ivrnet’s acquisition of Voicelink Technology Inc. earlier this year.

Also in November of 2006 Ivrnet will deploy into production an emergency response tool for a major Canadian Hydro Electric company.  The system will use voice enabled technology to automatically call out and provide updates to concerned citizens that have called the utility and reported a service event, or that have called in to receive information on the status of an event.  The Ivrnet system integrates into both the systems and processes of the utility and no human intervention will be required.

The recent initiatives underscore the trend of adding highly automated client applications that more fully utilize the large capacity of Ivrnet’s telephony center in Western Canada.  Increasing the utilization of this center will allow Ivrnet to offer services at more competitive prices while increasing profitability, a benefit to both Ivrnet and its clients.  As well, these initiatives begin an entry into large industry accounts that will supplement Ivrnet’s already excellent mid-tier market position.

About Ivrnet Inc. – Ivrnet Inc. is a leading provider of speech enabled and hosted telephony applications.  In addition to marketing a standard set of telephone related services such as conference calling and unified messaging, Ivrnet develops and operates custom Interactive Voice Response solutions using both touch tone and voice recognition.  All Ivrnet telephony services are set up, configured and monitored through state-of-the-art web interfaces.
